Tea & Touch

Tea Ceremony &
Introduction to Craniosacral Therapy

This workshop is for anyone interested in the the art of tea for personal cultivation and also curious about the practice of craniosacral therapy.

This mini one day workshop is designed to serve as a brief introduction into the field of craniosacral therapy. (No previous experience necessary).

Our time together will begin with a tea ceremony and teachings offered by tea master Po Li. He will pour teas for us that will aide in our collective settling into the present moment. Po will include teachings that are inspired by the group field and the medicines of the teas presented. We will journey through the energetic fields enlivened by the majesty of tea and our togetherness.

Our tea journey will be followed by a discussion about the history of craniosacral therapy and an introduction to some of the core components of the practice. We will then explore these foundational principles through guided experiential practice. Everyone will have a chance to act in the role of ‘giver’ and ‘receiver’ during our hands-on practice time.

This workshop is being offered by Stacy Darby LAc, LMT and Tea Master Po Li.

The Art of Listening

The Art of Tea is one of Listening. Each tea is a particular energy and plant spirit, they are constantly talking to us, if we only have the ears to listen. This tea school is dedicated to the art of hearing Nature: Plant Nature, Your Nature, Nature, the Tao.”
-
Tea Master, Po Li

“The hands are not transmitters, they are not doing anything, they are a symbol of being in touch and convey a felt sense of relationship. Genetic expression is powered by relationship. Love is a relationship. The hands are simply receivers. The practitioner does nothing, (s)he listens; (s)he listens with all his (her) senses in full attention to the client and from the heart, not the analytic brain. There is no diagnosis, prognosis or treatment plan, the practitioner listens and as the trust in the process develops, and the client begins to feel that there is, perhaps for the first time ever, someone fully there for her (him), then the conditions are present in which she (he) can begin to have the courage to explore her (his) long and deeply buried trauma. There is no treatment as such, the hearing is the healing and the more profound the listening, the deeper the healing.” Mike Boxhall RCST.,FCSTA.
